Monday sharing …

It’s a little dreary out today.  Sprinkles of rain but a fairly warm temperature.
I’ve mopped the kitchen floor and done a bit of housework.
I finished a knitted scarf last night.  I’ll post photos of it later.
Right now, I’m going to share some thread crochet items I’ve made as gifts.  This one is Pineapple Fan doily.  [...]

Meet the Browns …

Yesterday, I was filled with anticipation as I showered, make-upped, primped and dressed to go to the movies with my long-time friend, Greta.  We were going to see Tyler Perry’s Meet the Browns!  I am, by nature, not a comedy-movie-lover.  I like the drama … the shoot-’em-up-bang-’em-up-cops-and-robbers drama.  But whenever Mable Madea R. Simmons is showing [...]

Sharing a few things …

It’s raining and cold out today … and I’m staying inside.  SO …
I thought I’d share a few things I’ve made in the past with you.  This is a felted hat I made for my aunt, Dottie, for Christmas.  It is crocheted using Paton’s Classic Wool.

Pretty Kitty Doily for aunt, Karen, for her 60th birthday.  [...]

Today has been a beautiful day!  I took my Quaker parrot and put him on the porch.  He loves it out there.  It’s nice and warm in the sun.  It is, however, quite windy.  I’m thinking it’s probably going to rain tomorrow.  I went out to check on my flower beds.  The Irises are about six [...]

I’m exhausted …

… but happy.  I’m happy because Jesus arose as the scripture foretold on the third day.  He rolled the stone away and ascended to the Heavenly Father.  That’s what it’s all about and really the only reason we’re here on earth:  to serve Him.
I’ve cooked all morning!  Actually, I started yesterday.  I prepared a turkey [...]

I’m cookin’ …

I’ve got the turkey thawing … deviled eggs in the fridge …. blueberry cobbler in the oven … and I’m off to the grocery store in a few moments.

Good Friday …

Although this is a sad day because of the death and torturous suffering of my Lord Jesus Christ, I rejoice in His sacrifice.  He gave his own beautiful life … God gave his only beautiful son … to give me eternal life.  He washed away the ugly sins of mankind and gave us the opportunity to [...]

18 March …

I’ve been working on various things lately.  It seems I can’t be satisfied with just one project so I’ve got four or five in process.  Here is the crocheted felted tote I made.  There are no handles yet because I can’t decide what I want to do.  Do I want sisal rope or braided leather?  [...]

Scientists …

… have “discovered” a new bird in Indonesia.  No matter how hard man tries … God is always ahead of us.  He’s probably up there shaking his head side-to-side with a giggle thinking about how much more is out there that only He knows of.  I like that.
Yesterday, I went to East Tenampa Mexican Cantina [...]

14 March

It’s a rainy day here.  I’m so happy I got out yesterday and enjoyed the nice weather.
Have you joined Ravelry, yet?  I’ve been a member since November 21, 2007.  I have really enjoyed the site.  I’m a member of several groups including the West Virginia Fiber Artists.  Tomorrow, those of us who choose to do so [...]
